The Portage Health Board of Directors and LifePoint announced Monday they've finalized the venture.

Volunteers from the New Norfolk Fire Brigade were on the scene within minutes of being called out at 5.50pm and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Next weekend, a small group of doctors will perform a marathon day of surgery at a Little Rock hospital, replacing hips and knees for more than two dozen patients who have no insurance and can't afford the procedures.

Cassie Liska says she complained repeatedly about her mother's care at McKenzie Towne Care Centre in Calgary.

"It's a good feeling to see those people going through such a bad time and have something good happen to them even if it is just for a few minutes," said Woodward.

Connecticut's Lawrence and Memorial Hospital has locked out hundreds of nurses and health care workers after they ended a four-day strike and tried to return to work.
