Boston Medical Center lays off 119 workers

Officials at the Boston Medical Center say they have laid off 119 workers to cope with a projected $175 million loss this year triggered by "dramatic changes in Medicaid reimbursements." The nonprofit health care provider said in a statement released Monday that another 40 employees will see their hours reduced.
