A spokeswoman for Providence Medical Center in nearby Wayne said ambulances were bringing in two patients who suffered lacerations, and the hospital had sent nurses to Pilger and the town of Wakefield. Oakdale-based Pittsburgh Technical Institute's licensed practical nursing program has been accredited, helping fill the need for medical professionals. CONVERNS were raised earlier this year over the deaths of three babies at the hospital in North Lanarkshire between August 2013 and February 2014.
