| Nursing - News July 6, 2014 County lawmakers recently heard the final 2013 numbers for the two county-operated nursing facilities in Cattaraugus County, and the trend of lower equity and fiscal condition seems to be continuing. What Elaine Weale and the other striking nurses outside Wilkes-Barre General Hospital heard from the inside about staffing was "disheartening," she said Saturday. The Oklahoman reports that its recent open records request to the Oklahoma Board of Nursing found there are 74,656 licensed nurses in the state. The health system filled five positions at the Transitional Rehab Unit at Scranton Rehab Hospital, which began admitting patients this month.
